Widener University's New Landmark

On a bright August morning, Verdin Installation Technician Rick Morin carefully assembled and hoisted Widener University's new clock into position. An alumni project, it's the centerpiece of a new crosswalk.

First the post was hoisted and bolted securely onto the foundation. Then the head was lifted onto the post. Staff members from the University's Facilities Department were then instructed in the clock's operation and care.

A small crane is needed for just a few hours to install our larger clocks. Our Technicians do all the work.

This clock is our Howard Replica/Seth Thomas four-dial Victorian. A real classic. A traditional dial face of Roman Numerals was appropriate for an academic institution. Two of the headers read, "WIDENER". The opposite headers read, "PRIDE".

Color Coordinated

Take a close look at this recent installation of one of our large Victorian four-dial clocks. The overall color is neither the traditional black nor dark green, but bronze, a match to the building's trim. It's at an apartment house in Philadelphia. An electronic carillon greets passers-by with the hours and familiar tunes. Red clock, blue clock, green clock? Verdin can paint your clock any color. Custom colors are not a problem - just send us a color chip and we'll match it. Make your clock a real landmark.

It's Tee Time.

No one will be late for tee time at St. Davids Golf Club in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Their new Verdin post clock is centrally located, visible from the first tee, driving range and even the restaurant's outdoor patio. A memorial to a former club member, the clock is kept on time by an internal electronic "brain". This Master Clock Controller automatically resets the clock's dials for Day Light Savings Time and after a power failure. No excuse for missing your tee time or cocktails.

Call Doug Gefvert, your local Verdin Representative at 610-265-5211 or email Doug at dgefvert@verizon.net He'll visit your course, help you choose a location, a clock that is just right and even suggest fund raising options.

Secaucus gets a Christmas Present

Just in time for Christmas, Santa and his elves delivered a new Verdin clock to Secaucus, New Jersey. Located in a small plaza in the center of town, this four-dial Victorian reproduction was the gift of several local corporations.
